Is it possible that because Bentley is in the States, we are now getting Fred and Val in return? I fear that may be the case but I sure as heck hope not. I can only imagine what will happen at the station if they bring in their good ol' American ways. Maybe this is just one step closer to bringing back Dick and Joan, or perhaps, based on the amount raised during the last fundraiser, or should I say, the lack of amount raised, maybe it's just one more step closer to TMC's demise.

On another note, any idea what happened to the Miracle Channel dancers? They haven't been on the fundraiser all week.

Who is bankrolling TMC? Perhaps Dick floated them a small loan to stay afloat, after all, he has a vested interest in keeping the station alive.

Spike your information jives with my suspicions about Faisal and Sabina. Their absence and not a mention of them during the fundraiser broadcast made me wonder if the Maliks had jumped ship like so many others. Maybe Faisal saw the writing on the wall and decided that relying on TMC to pay his mortgage and sustain his livelihood was not worth the risk. Or perhaps he has taken off his jaded glasses and finally seen the light of truth about the prosperity gospel he left Islam for.

In any case, losing the Maliks is just one more boo boo to add to the Miracle Channel Association's colorful history.

It's very interesting that Fred and Val Bennett are related to the new Chairman of the board of TMC.  Mervin Medowick in the new leader/chairman of the Board and CEO, I believe that Ray Block was removed during a recent board meeting in Calgary.  Of course,  Fred failed to mention this on this last partner week. Although Fred introduced Mervin as the new Chairman, he left the rest of the details out. Does this already seem fishy? that's because it is. One more thing I just found out is that Mervin Medowick is on the board of VICTORY and is very close to George & Hazel Hill whom are wanting to restore Dick & Joan Dewert back this coming fall. Do you think their going to bring Dick Dewert back in ???

One,

     The wealthy Mervyn Mediwake is a longtime Victory Church board member, having held various church positions throughout the years.  I was present when they made him one of their so-called Doctors (un-accredited of course).  The familial connection with the Bennetts is through marriage of their respective off-spring.  Mervyn moved to the USA a couple of years ago to manage the MC's operations there; which also happened to be headquartered out of the church Fred & Val operate.  If you investigate the background of Victory church further, along with it's systematic recycling of leaders, things will not seem quite as fishy to you after all. 

Appointing the Bennetts to host the (however sinking) MC's flagship program, and plans to re-instate Deweert is a natural course of events for Victory and the MC.  It's just the way that they do it!  It comes as no surprise to any of us that they would be looking to bring about the restoration of Dr. Feelgood (oops! I mean Deweert).  What greater testimony to parade in front of the viewers than that?!  We've always been certain they would do it, and that it will bring in $$millions$$ of donor dollars to the station.  I suspect Fred & Val are merely trusted stewards, to hold the position in trust for Deweert, until such time comes about that Victory & the MC can respectfully pull their Dick back out in the light.

Then stand back and watch the beast roar.

As for Faisal, he never relied solely on the MC to pay his mortgage.  Heck no!  Seems he has more sense than faith to quit his day job.  Which also appears to indicate that Ishmael was not being paid as royal a salary as Isaac.

The Miracle Channel is thankful for the last year of service provided to this ministry by Faisal and Sabina Malick through their ministry, Covenant of Life. We have been blessed to have the Plumbline program as a valued part of our programming line-up. Recently the Miracle Channel and Covenant of Life worked together to see how this contractual arrangement might continue and what the plan of God would be for both ministries. At this time however an arrangement acceptable to both parties is not forthcoming. The Miracle Channel has accepted this outcome and has offered our blessings and best wishes to Faisal and Sabina as they follow the Lord's leading in their ministry. The Miracle Channel looks forward to continued and new programming in cooperation with media ministries that will advance the kingdom of God in Canada and other nations.

I just hope this doesn't mean the door and/or timeslot is now open for the return of Dick and Joan, although you have to admit, the timing is uncanny and in the words of some, maybe even "prophetic"!

I prayed that when this was originally mentioned without clarification from MC that this would not come about.  I myself liked both Faisal and his wife and will miss their smiling faces at noon hours.  Now of course I must find another channel to fill that time slot.  This time though it will not involve The Miracle Channel.

It seems to me that as time goes on, The Miracle Channel is losing more and more of any credability they had on this side of the border.  I pray that this will turn around and will not see the demise of The Miracle Channel.  Of course I have heard of a new Christian Channel, called The Christian Channel I believe.  Will have to find it and watch I guess.

I will miss Faisal and Sabrina and pray for their personal success in Ministry
