According to a statement on the Miracle Channel's web site, Shaw Cable in Campbell River has removed them from their programming lineup. There is no reason provided by The Miracle Channel but it is stated on their site that it is due to circumstances "beyond their control". Looks like someone hasn't been hearing their prayers... you know... "whatsoever you ask in My Name..."
Perhaps TMC just hasn't sown enough into that area. Maybe they need to follow their own advice and sow more... perhaps they are only one sacrifice away...
If this is the kind of victory that comes out of events like the Dominion Conference, you might want to carefully consider the harvest of benefits of attendance at such events. After all, it's not quite the kind of fruit I would want to reap, nor the type of anointing I desire.
Here is the statement as it appears on TMC's official website:
NOTICE
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Miracle Channel, will no longer be available on Shaw Cable in Campbell River (ch 53). Regrettably, Shaw Cable has made the decision to remove the channel from its programming line-up effective August 11, 2009. For further information on this change contact your local cable company.
The Miracle Channel, which provides its quality faith-based programming at no charge to cable systems across Canada, is still available on satellite through Bell TV (channel 652) or live streaming at www.miraclechannel.ca
Thank you, Campbell River for your continued support of the Miracle Channel.
We have attempted to contact Shaw to obtain more information, however, nobody was available for comment at the time of this posting.
For further information regarding this, please contact the respective parties.

You might want to be careful with that idiom, Spike. Last year, MythBusters proved that a lead balloon can actually float.
Be that as it may, one has to wonder if other localities that Shaw serves will also pull the plug on TMC. Or if smaller cable companies will see what's going on and say "no deal" when the carriage contracts come up for renewal.
